POC Deployment

A POC validates functionality, integrations and performance before purchase or production rollout. Use an isolated test environment, test accounts and sanitized samples. Obtain approval, isolation and backups before connecting production systems or importing real business files.

Define the Scope

Goal Preparation
File management and collaboration Representative files, departments, accounts, invitation and link-sharing scenarios
Preview and search Actual Office, PDF, CAD or image samples and expected results
Integration SSO, directory synchronization and API test systems and permissions
HA and storage Architecture, capacity, concurrency, backup and failover acceptance criteria
Data ferry Separate networks, transfer channel, direction and approval policy
Zhichao AI Authorized samples, model choice, OCR/vectorization workload and compute resources

Prepare the Environment

Use the configuration advisor and server requirements. Select a security-maintained OS validated for the delivered version. Combined deployment is suitable for simple evaluation; HA, object-storage and data-ferry tests require the corresponding nodes and networks.

Provide time-limited deployment access through approved VPN or bastion services. Confirm download and licensing allowlists in advance. Arrange offline delivery separately for isolated networks; do not expose public ports merely to simplify testing.

Initialize and Validate

  1. Initialize administrators, notification mail and enterprise settings; protect credentials.
  2. Import test departments and members, then configure roles, sharing and access boundaries.
  3. Train administrators, department managers and users.
  4. Test transfers, permissions, preview, search and selected extensions against an agreed checklist; record issues and acceptance results.

The white paper's example provides 30 days and 100 test accounts. Actual duration, accounts, modules and support arrangements are governed by the agreed trial authorization and service terms.

Close the Trial

Reassess production architecture, capacity and security after acceptance. Migrate or remove test data and revoke temporary access and credentials. Arrange extensions before the trial expires.

BabelBird capabilities may change by product version, licensed modules and deployment configuration; actual availability depends on the deployed environment and administrator settings.
